staff very friendly and attentive

Came for Afternoon tea in the oak room for a birthday celebration 12/09/2014 , very disappointed with the standard of the furnishings, the arm chairs in the bay windows where we sat were all torn, stuffing was coming out and they were stained on all of the arms, for a five staff hotel this was very poor I would not have them in my home !

We stayed there for our 16th wedding Anniversary. We arrived and were sent to our room. When we walked in, we were in awe of the size of the suite, the bed, the bathroom etc. My husband and I stay at a Marriott hotel quite often throughout the year and we have to say this was by far the best. The staff, and the whole ambience was fantastic. We will definitely stay there again ( on a special occasion as it was £245 a night) but it was definitely worth it. Well done to all who work there.

The only thing I would like to say is it should be an earlier check in. We were not allowed to check in until 3pm but I feel that as we paid a lot of money (£245) we would have liked to have stayed in the room a bit longer. That is the only downside.
